His elder brother, Driver Walter Henry Davis, age 31, also fell. He served with "C" Battery 106th Brigade Royal Field Artillery~Service Number 209827.He left a widow,Caroline C. Davis, of North Lodge, Stanwick, Aldborough, Yorkshire.

The brothers are remembered on the Balcombe War Memorial.
