15 Aug 1918: | Honoured Military Medal, For continuous good work and dedication to duty and gallantry in the field over a period of 17 months. On 18 August he went over with the first wave of the infantry and under a heavy fire, investigated the roads from Viller-Brettonneox to Warfusse-Abancourt and assisted in removing 14 enemy mines. He has always shown the greatest coolness under fire. | |
