Son of Daniel Harvey Adams and Margaret (nee Smith) Adams of Mallala, SA; brother of Ethel Rose Maude Adams, Mabel Rose Ella Adams, Myrtle Maud Alma Adams, Laura May Margaret Adams, Oswald Vernon Roy Adams, Roland Thomas Paxton Adams, Vere William Pettman Adams, Ella Violet Muriel Adams, Vera Adeline Rita Adams, Hilda Maud Ehel Adams and  Cyril Thomas James Adams
