'MILITARY FUNERAL.

The remains of the late Pte. Donald McLeod, of the 15th Battalion, were laid to rest in the Toowong cemetery yesterday with military honours, No. 1 Military District Band being present. Chaplain Waters of Toowong, conducted the service at the graveside in the unavoidable absence of Chaplain Col. Merrington. A firing party under the command of Lieut. Hard was in attendance, and the "last post" was sounded at the graveside. The Returned Sailors' and Soldiers' Imperial League of Australia was represented by Messrs. H. J. Robilliard (the Queensland State branch secretary) and J. Harvey (secretary of the Toowoomba sub-branch). A handsome wreath forwarded by the league was placed on the coffin.' from The Brisbane Courier 29 Jun 1917 (nla.gov.au)
