The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published 2017, refer to pages 147/8, 218, 222, & 275. Prior to the war he was a surveyor's assistant of Melbourne Vic. He enlisted 21st Sept 1915 aged 17 years. He served with the 6th Infantry Battalion, rising to the rank of Lieutenant. During his service as an Officer he was awarded the Military Cross. He survived the war, departing the UK for home 1st Nov 1919.
