Owen Biglow CAIN was born in Rye, Victoria on 29th April, 1894
His parents were Michael CAIN & Mary Agnes NEVILLE
He enlisted in Melbourne on 4th September, 1916 & embarked with the 3rd Pioneer Battalion, 4th reinforcements on the HMAT Port Melbourne on 21st October, 1916 -
He returned to Australia on 1st April, 1919 and was discharged on 26th July, 1919 & married Elizabeth HILL in 1920
Owen enlisted again during WW2 on 15th March, 1942 with the 10th Battalion Volunteer Defence Force and was discharged on 9th October, 1945 (SN V379149)
He died in Victoria on 19th September, 1998 and is buried in the Rye Cemetery & Memorial Gardens,
