Son of Robert James Orrock and Rose Orrock nee Partella of Elmhurst, Victoria.

Brother of John Harold Orrock who died of wounds on 18 November 1916 while serving with the 4th Field Artillery Brigade and is buried in the Bernafay Wood British Cemetery, Row I, Grave 32.

Commenced return to Australia on 5 April 1918 aboard HT Borda disembarking on 22 May 1918
