Grandad Frank

Daniel Francis Chambers preferred to be called Frank.

It is not yet known why he had decided to enlist into the army.

However, it wasn't uncommon to see him sporting his army jacket after he returned home and returned to working on the farm.

After the war, he purchased property to the south of Mungallala which he named Passchendaele after being involved in this battle during his active service. He was a sheep and cattle farmer.

He married after the war and had seven children. He remained in Mungallala up until his death at the age of 50. He is buried at Mungallala Cemetery along with his wife and is surrounded by other family members including some of his children and siblings.
