Grace was born in 1887, the daughter of William Farrington and Alexandra Farrington nee Howell.
Grace enlisted as a Probationary Nurse with the Australian Army Nursing Service on 18.12.1915 and embarked 22.12.1915 per 'Kanowna' - Served on A61 'Kanowna'. Returned to Australia and was Discharged on 1.4.1916 at Melbourne No 2 Hospital Ship. Medals: British War Medal and Victory Medal.
