George Austin Morschel Birth
George was born at Berry in the Shoalhaven on 10th April 1891 to George Powell Morschel and his wife Frances Williams. He was the second child of six and the first born son.
I do not have his birth certificate but have sighted it. I have been researching our family for over 30 years and my grandmother was George's first cousin, and when her baby brother was born, Frances begged my Great-grandmother to call the little boy George Austin in memory of her son. This was done and the second George Austin is still living in the Shoalhaven age 98.
I Hope this is of use to you in your aim to get more details of our soldiers of WWI - Regards, Joy Vost
