Son of Maurice Haigh and Ellen Haigh nee Howden of Yorke Street, Howden, Yorkeshire, England.
Brother of Annie Elizabeth Haigh, John Harry Haigh, Arthur Maurice Haigh, Petty Officer Stoker Joseph Robert Haigh of the Royal Navy and who died while serving aboard HMS Queen Mary and has no known grave. His name appears on the Portsmouth Naval Memorial, Panel 16, and Elsie Haigh
