Dvr William Ernest Whatley (born 8.10.1894, Newcastle, N.S.W.), eldest son of Dvr James Whatley, labourer from George Street, North Waratah, New South Wales and 5 O'Mara Street, Mayfield East, N.S.W., enlisted 21.8.1914, Divisional Train, No 1 Company, Reg No-286 & 287B, an Original Anzac, RTA 25th December 1918 (Special 1914 Leave), died 26.6.1971, Cessnock, N.S.W., age 76, not officially commemorated) resting same location.
