Harry Jacobs was single and age nearly 20 when he enlisted at Adelaide. With a fresh complexion grey eyes and brown hair, he stood 5'3" (160 cm) tall and weighed 114 lb (52 kgs).
Harry had a number of medical problems that prevented him seeing any action in France and he was discharged on medical grounds on 4 January 1918. His older brothers James and Willie also fought in World War I, and are depicted on the Willunga "Cheer-Up collage. Harry married Florence Livinia Elisabeth Shue in 1922 he was residing in Brisbane when he died and was buried in the Lutwyche cemetery.
