Born on 3rd January 1881, George Roy Creek was an Australian soldier who fought in the 10th Batallion. He was born in Mitcham, South Australia to George Creek and Sarah nee Chaplin. He was a Methodist by birth and was occupied prior to his enlistment, he was a bedstead maker.

At the age of 24, he enlisted in the war. According to service records, he had a dark skin tone with dark hair and brown eyes. He was also unmarried so his mother, Sarah Creek, was his next of kin. The same year, he also embarked on war. He and his unit embarked from Adelaide, South Australia, onboard RMS Mongolia on 9 March 1916. 

He served locally for 3 years and 143 days while he served abroad for 2 years and 357 days. He was twice wounded in action. He left England to return to Australia on January 15, 1919.
