Biography

Stewart/Stuart Courtney GADEN was born in 1893 in Sydney, NSW

His parents were Thomas Burton GADEN and Ida Brereton ATHERTON

He enlisted in Liverpool on 7th July, 1915 with the Australian Army - he was with the 7th Light Horse Regiment - Unit embarked from Sydney on the HMAT Euripides on 2nd November 1915

Stewart was wounded in action on 5th August and died of his wounds on 6th August 1916 - He is buried in Kantara War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt and also commemorated on the Australian War Memorial
