Bristow Roding BLISS was born in Saint Arnaud, Victoria in 1887

His parents were William Roding BLISS & Ellen Jane NEAL

He married Elsie Olive Emma RICHARDS in Victoria in 1915 - one daughter Beth Roding BLISS born 1916

He enlisted in Melbourne on 17th July, 1915 and embarked from Melbourne on the HMAT Ceramic with the 5th Infantry Battalion, 12th Reinforcements on 23rd November, 1915

Bristow was Killed in Action at Pozieres in France on 25th July, 1916 - no known grave

KILLED IN FRANCE.
Word has been received that Private Bristow R. Bliss, of St Arnaud previously reported missing, has been found dead on the battlefield in France. He leaves a widow and infant daughter. His elder brother  was wounded at Gallipoli, and his younger brother is in hospital in England.
