Algernon Edward Millhouse( also known as 'Algy') was a solider in WW1 that was apart of the 32nd infantry Battalion. Edward was Born on the 13 may 1987 in Mount gambier, South Australia. Edward was 5 foot 8 with blue eyes, fair hair and fair complexion, chest measurements of 46 inches and his religion was with the Church of England. He also worked as a managing director.

Edward was an Australian rules footballer who first played for the Port Pirie Rover, then in 1908 Edward represented NSW at the Jubilee Australasian Football Carnival. Then in 1910 he was the captain for the West Broken Hill team.

On the 14th of May 1912 Edward married Muriel Elizabeth cheek in Adelaide. Muriel Elizabeth Cheek was an accomplished soprano and was known professionally at the Melbourne University Conservatorium as: miss Muriel Cheek.

In April of 1913 Edward played for the Melbourne Football Club and then midway through the 1913 season Edward played for the St Kilda Football Club during the Victorian Football League. Edward also played for the Norwood Football club in the South Australian Football League and in the 1914 season Edward was captain-coach for Norwood.

Edward enlisted for WW1 on the 26th of August 1915, Edward was part of the 32nd infantry battalion and the unit embarked from Adelaide, South Australia on board HMAT A57 Malakuta on 27 June 1916, Edward was 28-29 years old when he embarked. He spent the war in England, at least part of the time as a physical training instructor.

Edward returned home to Australia on the 28th of August 1919 at age 32 and was rewarded with the 'British war medal'. Edward passed away on the 1st of October 1948 in Richmond at age 61
