Son of Alexander Urquhart, Chapel Street, Port Mahanack, Ross-shire, Scotland.
17 January 1916 - enlisted at Marrickville, NSW, with the 11th Field Artillery Brigade and with the rank of Gunner.
28 December 1916 - promoted to Shoe Smith
29 March 1917 - transferred to the 4th Divisional Column
3 June 1917 - promoted to Driver
17 August 1918 - transferred to the 11th Field Artillery Brigade
12 May 1919 - commenced return to Australia aboard HT Port Napier disembarking on 5 July 1919
Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal
19 August 1919 - discharged at the 2nd Military District
