Immigrated to Sydney from England with family on the ship "Assaye" 3rd September 1883.
Eldest brother was Sergeant Thomas Charles Foster (12/10/1869 - 21/06/1916) - Service number 2201 - Hospital Transport Corps.
Aunty to A.I.F. Private Ernest Victor Foster (06/07/1897 - 09/03/1958) - Service number 1902 - 57th Infantry Battalion.- enlisted aged 18 years and 6 months - claimed he was 21 years old at enlistment.
