 Taken on strength, 13th Light Horse Regiment, Tel el Kebir, 5 February 1916.

Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 17 March 1916; disembarked Marseilles, France, 24 March 1916.

Taken on strength, 1st Anzac Army Corps Light Horse Regiment, 7 July 1916.

Promoted Lieutenant, 23 July 1916.

Name brought to the attention of Corps Commander during recent operations, who wished to express his appreciation of his gallant conduct, 8 May 1917: promulgated in Military Order No 353, 18 August 1917.

Wounded in action (gun shot wound, left leg and right arm amputated); admitted to 3rd Casualty Clearing Station, 25 September 1917.

Died of wounds, 25 September 1917.
