At the age of 18 he emigrated to Australia and on May 24, 1916, he enlisted in the A.I.F. in North Dandalup, Western Australia.

Son of Frederick Williams & his wife Ellen Amelia Beakley, Walsoken Smeeth.

He is remembered on the WALSOKEN WAR MEMORIAL

(this parish has fluctuated between Norfolk & Cambs)

The memorial is located in Walsoken cemetery, adjacent to All Saints Church.
