Son of George House and Sarah Ann House nee Stepnell of Buninyong, Victoria

Commenced return to Australia on 31 August 1916 aboard HT Marama which arrived at Fremantle on 10 October 1916 as wounded. On 23 December 1916 he re-embarked aboard HT Ayrshire for onward travel to Melboure where he disembarked on 30 December 1916.
