Son of James Quinlivan and Catherine Emma Quinlivan nee Clark of Roma, QLD. Brother of James Quinlivan who return to Australia on 25 December 1918 having served with the Australian Army Service Corps.

Commenced return to Australia on 18 December 1918 aboard HT Aeneas disembaking on 5 February 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Brisbane

Husband of Kathleen Doris Quinlivan nee Rudge. George and Kathleen married on 17 August 1922 in QLD.
