Daughter of Robert HERBERTSON and Mary Hannah nee BEAUR, Ormiston, Cleveland Line, Qld.

Florence embarked 31 July 1915 per 'Karoola' and saw service in Egypt and England.  She was sick with Tonsilitis in March 1916 and had an appendix operation in April 1917.  She returned to Australia 10 September 1917 per "Ulysses" on duty.  Her appointment with the AANS was terminated on 02 December 1917.

Married Field (Feldo) FLOWERS - On June 1, 1921 at St. Andrew's Church of England, Ormiston, by the Rev. Wm. J. Gerrard, Field (of Solferino, Clermont), eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Field Flowers, of Rockhampton, to Florence (late A.A.N.S.) elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Herbertson, of Ormiston, Cleveland Line.
