Charles Vincent EYRE was born on 20th February, 1882 in Carlton, Victoria
His parents were Augustine Lewis Slater EYRE & Anne Marie AUSTIN
He married Mabel Isabel THOMPSON in Victoria in 1910
He enlisted in Broadmeadows, Victoria on 2nd December, 1914 & embarked with the Field Butchery & Bakery, 13th Company ASC on 22nd December, 1914 from Melbourne on the HMAT Berrima - he returned to Australia on 24th August, 1918

He died in Heidelberg, Victoria on 28th July, 1949 & is buried in Preston Cemetery
