He was 24 and the son of Fanny Miriam Harbeck, of Lakes Entrance, Victoria, Australia, and the late Peter Harbeck.
His brother also fell. He was Private Arthur Percival Harbeck, Service Number 566, aged 23-died in Malta of wounds sustained in the Dardanelles 22/05/1915 whilst serving with the 6th Bn. Australian Infantry, A.I.F.
Sergeat A. A . Harbeck, fourth surviving son of Mr and Mrs P. Harbeck, Lakes Entrance died on 1st May, of wouuds received in France. He was 24 years of age. After finishing his education at the Sale Agricultural High School, he engaged in farming pursuits. He enlisted at Melbourne in February 1916. He saw five months' active service in France.
