4 Mar 1919: | Honoured Distinguished Conduct Medal, Distinguished Conduct Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He commanded his section which he only joined as they were lying waiting for the signal of zero hour, with great success, capturing an enemy machine gun post after a determined resistance. His platoon commander and sergeant were wounded, and he took command and drove back a party of the enemy who were endeavouring to develop a flank attack. Sir Percy George Shilcock was a private in WW1 and was part of the 32nd infantry battalion. He also served as a corporal for a troop of 15 people who he lead through most battles. Percy George Shilcock was born in Southampton, England on the 25th of November, 1896. He grew up in Southhampton where he went to St Mary's Extra. He enlisted on the 1st of March 1916 where he was placed as a private in the 32nd battalion. He embarked from Adelaide, South Australia on the 11th of April in the same year. After his service, he returned home with a Distinguished Conduct Medal. He later became a boilermaker and watched a coworker pass away in front of him. He later passed in 1965 on the 10th of June with the reason 'unknown'.
