Private Hubert Henry Smith
Hubert enlisted on the 2nd March 1916 and he joined the 1st battalion 19th re-inforcements. He was killed in action at Bullecourt, France the date given as 5th-8th May 1917. He was killed in the trenches and buried just behind them, his name is commemorated at the Australian National Memorial at Villers-Bretonneux this is the repository of the names of more than 10,000 Australians who died in France during WW1 but have no known grave. He was 19 years of age.
