Douglas Eglinton ECKFORD was born in Hobart in Tasmania on 26th December, 1894
His parents were Arthur Eglinton Montgomery ECKFORD & Ethel Maude PACKER who married in All Saints Church in Hobart on 21st April, 1888
He married Dorothy Iris Caroline WILKINS in Sydney in 1914
His 2nd marriage was to Araluen Muriel McARTHUR in Sydney on 7th September, 1920
His 3rd marriage was to to Dorothy SAUNDERS in Sydney in 1929
He served in both WW1 and WW2 (see service records for details)
Douglas died in Sydney on 14th March, 1965

His brother Alan Eglinton ECKFORD (SN 4407) served in the 24th Infantry Battalion during WW1 and was Killed in Action in France on 3rd May, 1917
