11 January 1917 - enlisted with the 53rd Battalion and with the rank of Private

8 July 1919 - commenced return to Australia aboard HT Friedrichsruh disembarking on 4 September 1919

Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal

12 October 1919 - discharged at the 2nd Military District

During 1925c Henry married Elfreda M. Caldwell in Wallsend, NSW
