On November 12, 1897, Egbert Wilfred Moeller was born in Kapunda, South Australia. Moeller was a father to Pamela and husband to Sarah Moeller. His profession was a presser. He was 5 feet 9 and a half and weighed 132lbs. His religious denomination was the Church of Christ. He had brown hair, brown eyes, and had a medium complexion. Moeller decided to enlist on January 6, 1916, in Adelaide, South Australia, at the age of 18 years and two months.
At the age of 19, on March 9, 1916, he embarked on AIF WW1, Private, 4825, 10th Infantry Battalion, RMS Mongolia, Adelaide.
He later transferred to the 50th Battalion and and was wounded in action in April 1917. Once he recovered he returned to the 50th Battalion. After the war ended he was promoted to Lance Corporal and then Temporary Corporal. He returned to Australia in July 1919 and was discharged 15/8/1919.
