Son of William Quince and Mary Elizabeth Hicks formerly  Quince nee Diehm of corner of John and Annie Streets, Deshion Estate, South Brisbane, Queensland.

Commenced return to Australia on 26 January 1919 aboard HT Demosthesos disembarking on 8 March 1919

Medals: 1914-1915 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal

On 5 July 1924 William married Rose Anna aka Rose Ann Scott in QLD
