Son of John Edwin Quiggin and Caroline Quiggin nee Robertson of Fairfield, Victoria. 

Brother of Albert Stanley Quiggin who returned to Australia on 24 September 1917 having served with the 21st Battalion

Husband of Mabel Quiggin nee Miller of Shepparton, Victoria. John and Mabel married during 1912c in Victoria.

Commenced return to Australia on 31 March 1919 aboard HT Khyber disembarking on 21 May 1919
