Born 19 January 1891 in Adelaide, South Australia
(SA Birth record 1842 - 1906 Book: 473 Page: 32 District: Ade.)

Father Colonel Sergeant Elisha SEAMAN (b. ___ - d. 14/10/1915  62 yeras old); and
Mother Sarah Hannah (nee HARTLEY,  b. ____ - d. 3/6/1920 66 years old).

"CORPORAL W. B. SEAMAN.

Corporal W. B. Seaman, who was reported as killed in action at the Dardanelles, is the fourth son of Mr. E. Seaman, of Ebor avenue, West Adelaide, and was a member of the 10th Battalion. He was one of the first to enlist when war broke out, and was at the time a member of the 78th Battalion Band, and was one of the oldest members, having served for several years. He was a wheelwright by trade, and a member of the Coachmakers Union and an enthusiastic unionist. He was respected and loved by his fellow-workers, and all he came in contact with. He was also a member of the Southern Star Tent, L.O.R. He leaves a wife and one child. An older and a younger brother are in the fighting line.
