Son of George Valentine HELLICAR and Edith Chater nee HALLORAN, c/o C Hempsted, Hendra, Queensland
The death took place recently of Mr. Valentine Arthur Hellicar at his home at Cremorne, at the age of 51. He was the only son of the late George Hellicar, Crown Solicitor of queensland, and nephew of Ames Hellicar, late superintendent of the Bank of Australasia. He served with the A.I.F. and was wounded at Pozieres. On returning to Australia he rejoined the staff of the Bank of Australasia, with which he had been associated for 28 years. He is survived by Mrs. Hellicar.
The funeral took place at the Presbyterian Cemetery, Northern Surburbs. The Rev. D.P. MacDonald officiated at the graveside, and the Masonic burial service was read by Wor. Bro. HOdges, who was accompanied by a number of officers and brethren of Lodge Unity, of Sydney, of which deceased was an officer-bearer, and also brethren from other lodges, including many of his banking colleagues from head office and suburban branches.
