Born 1892 Colac, Victoria, Muriel was the daughter of Joseph BAKER and Annie nee COLLINS, of McDonald Street, Belmont, Geelong, Vic.
Prior to enlistment she was a Nurse at Geelong Hospital and was a Member of Royal Victoria Trained Nursing Association.
At the age of 26 years, she enlisted on 26 May 1917 and eEmbarked 12 June 1917 from Melbourne per 'Mooltan'.  Muriel saw war service in Salonika and returned to Australia per 'Leicestershire' 22 July 1919 and was dDischarged as medically unfit 11 July 1919.
Died 02 October 1974 at Geelong, Victorian and is buried Highton (Barrabool Hills) Cemetery HGH MET 01 807 128
