Died on this date - 13th January........Private Alfred Renwick was born at Millfield, Sunderland, Durham, England around 1875. He came to Australia around 1907 or 1908 according to information provided by his sister for Roll of Honour.

Alfred Renwick enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force on 22nd October, 1914 as a 34 year old Seaman. He was attached to Tropical Unit & served at Rabaul. He was discharged on 31st December, 1915 – medically unfit.

Alfred Renwick re-enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force on 11th February, 1916 as a 35 year old Seaman. He arrived in England on 11th October, 1916. Private Renwick was admitted to Military Hospital, Fovant, Wiltshire on 13th December, 1916 & discharged on 1st January, 1917 after being treated for Eczema.

Private Alfred Renwick died on 13th January, 1917 at Military Hospital Fovant, Wiltshire from Septicaemia. He was buried in St. Edith's Churchyard, Baverstock, Wiltshire, England where 28 other WW1 Australian Soldiers are buried.
