An original member of the AFC on the Corps establishment in 1913.
Mr George Fonteneau sailed from England in 1913 with his wife to Point Cook.
Sergeant Fonteneau deployed for service overseas on 22 October 1918. AFC Special Draft was recalled to Australia from Durban South Africa on cessation of hostilities on 11th November 1918.
Sergeant Fonteneau was awarded the British War Medal 194-18 for his service.
