Vincent James Martin LONGHURST was born in Pambula, New South Wales in 1894

His parents were Martin LONGHURST & Mary MAHONEY who married in 1893 (registered in Eden, NSW)

He enlisted in Bombala on 9th January, 1916 & embarked from Sydney with the 55th Infantry Battalion, 4th reinforcements on the HMAT Port Sydney on 4th September, 1916

Vincent died of wounds in France on 18th May, 1917 and is buried in the Grevillers British Cemetery
