28 December 1916 - enlisted at Sydney, NSW with the Railway Unit Section 1 with the rank of Private.
1 September 1917 - promoted to Sergeant. 6th Broad Gauge Operating Company
1 February 1918 - promoted to Company Sergeant Major
Commenced return to Australia on 21 June 1919 aboard HT Konigin Luise disembarking on 16 August 1919
Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal
28 September 1919 - discharged at the 2nd Military District.
During 1921c Percy married Hilda O. Wilson in Parramatta, NSW.
