Son of Robert YORKE of 6 May Street, Coburg, Vic.

Served with the 6th Battalion for 1394 days in Egypt, France and Belgium.  Took parkt in engagements at Poziers, Bullecourt, Polygon Wood, Paschendale Ridge, Armiens, Villers Bretonneux and other places.

Wounded (gunshot) 10 August 1918 at Villers Bretonneux and sent to hosptial at Oxford, England
