Son of Walter Oliver and Mary Jane Oliver nee McEwen of Neuarpurr, via Goroke, Victoria.
Brother of Henry Franics Oliver who was killed in aciion on 13 October 1917 while serving with the 38th Battalion and has no known grave. His name appears on Menin Gate, Ypres, Panel 25
