Biography contributed by Stephen Brooks

Frederick was wounded by shrapnel in the forhead at Bullecourt during May 1917. His mother filled out his Roll of Honour form stating he was killed between the 2-5 October 1917, "a great and important battle in which he fell in the attack for Broodseinde Ridge. Considered by all to be one of the best shots, having won many prizes. He shot a Hun at half mile range, .....at a great height, he was sniping our boys. He was respected and loved by all who knew him."
