Son of David Veitch and Rose Anne Veitch nee Logan of Wary Street, Valley, Brisbane, QLD. Brother of David Veitch who returned to Australia on 10 August 1919 having served with the 3rd Divisional Train
Commenced return to Australia on 10 June 1919 aboard HT Port Lyttleton disembarking on 5 August 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Brisbane
