Add my storyBiography contributed by Faithe Jones
Joseph's parents were William James Pritchard and Sarah Jane Littlefield. Joseph attended Mt Pleasant School and with his brothers was among the first children to attend. The Pritchard family was pioneers of Mt Pleasant. Joseph was living at Mt Pleasant, Terrors Creek when he enlisted and working as a farmer. As he was under 21 his parents have to consent for him to enlist. After the war Joseph married Violet Mead Stubbings in 1925, they were living at North Pine. His brothers Edward James [5512] and William John [58000] also enlisted, with all three brothers returning home. Joseph's surname is Pritchard on his birth certificate but Upritchard on his war record and war memorials.
