Biography contributed by Faithe Jones

Son of John and Mary TOMLINS

Brother of Mrs. Margaret GATES
Of Wilcannia, NSW

Died on Servlce.
It is our sad duty to report that another Wilcannia district lad has made the supreme sacrifice. Word came through on Friday that Private James Tomlins had been killed in action on 17th October. Private Tomlins is a brother to Mrs H. H. Gates and enlisted from here about two years ago. He was wounded last year in France, was invalided to England, and had only recently rejoined his regiment at the front. We extend our sympathy to his relatives in their loss.
