Son of Sam and Ada JONES
Due to issues with his lungs as a result of gas that was used during the war he never worked after coming home except for helping out on the family farm. He was a changed person mentally as well.
During the second world war, Rockhampton had tens of thousands of American servicemen stationed there. Quite a few of them used to go to Cliff's home as his sister used to do their laundry. He enjoyed their visits & often used to tell them 'to keep their heads down' when they were in battle.
Cliff passed away from a heart attack at his sister's place where he lived with her & her family & is buried at the North Rockhampton cemetery.
