Obituary - Mr. John H. R. COOPER
The death occurred at the Grafton Base Hospital recently of Mr John Henry Reid Cooper, aged 58. He was born at Ulmarra and spent all his life in the Ulmarra district where he was engaged in mixed farming. Deceased was a Digger of World War I. He was a good neighbour and always ready to do a good turn.
He married Miss Myrtle Roberts, of Ulmarra, and is survived by his widow, one daughter, Jennie (Mrs. R. Wilkinson, of Eureka), and two sons, Pat and Malcolm, both residing with their mother at Ulmarra.
The funeral moved from St. Paul's Church of England, Ulmarra, after a short service in the church. A. large number of members of the Ulmarra sub-branch of the R.S.S. and A.I.L.A., of the Legion of Ex-Servicemen and other ex-servicemen were present, some of them acting as pall bearers. Rev. W. E. Avery conducted the funeral service. – The Daily Examiner, Grafton, issue dated Tuesday June 25, 1946.
