"DEATH OF DR FEATHERSTONE.
Dr Harold Edgar Featherstone, a former president of the Returned Soldiers' Club died at his residence, Kooyong road, Caulfied, yesterday. Dr Featherstone, who was born in South Australia, was aged 54 years. For the last six years he had been superintendent of the Caulfield Military Hospital and senior medical officer for Victoria of the Repatriation department. For five years Dr Featherstone was president of the Returned Soldiers' Bowling Club but declined nomination for a sixth term of office. He leaves a widow and two sons. The funeral will leave Dr Featherstone's late residence at 3 o'clock this afternoon. All members of the Returned Soldiers' Club are requested to attend at the club room at quarter past 2 o'clock." - from the Melbourne Argus 14 Apr 1928 (nla.gov.au)
