Son of James Keith and Rebecca (nee NEWTON) McCRACKAN, 'Blair Athol', Wickepin, WA
Wounded with a severe gunshot wound to the thigh on 14th August 1916 and returned to Australia medically unfit on 25 November 1916 and was admitted to the Base Hospital, where he remained for seven months.
